Job Purpose: The position is for a senior academic leader which exists to provide strategic and administrative leadership of Apollo Healthcare Academy’s partnered programs delivered in collaboration with multiple universities, along with oversight of AIHMAS (Apollo Institute of Health Management & Allied Sciences). The role includes academic strategy, curriculum leadership, faculty recruitment & development, program quality, student success, budgeting, compliance, accreditation, research alliances, and industry engagement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FOCUS AREAS 1. Strategic Leadership Define, communicate, and execute the strategic vision for Apollo Healthcare Academy’s partnered university programs and AIHMAS. Strengthen and monitor collaborations with partner universities. Build strong relationships with industry, government, and regulatory bodies. Identify and drive opportunities for growth and expansion across campuses. 2. Academic Leadership Lead academic strategy, curriculum development, and program design aligned with regulatory standards. Drive academic innovation and change management initiatives. Expand and enhance the allied health academic portfolio. Constitute and chair advisory board meetings to ensure industry alignment. 3. Administration Oversee academic operations including admissions, examinations, scheduling, and student services across campuses. Manage budgets, resource allocation, and financial accountability. Ensure clinical sites meet safety and learning standards. Submit mandated reports to university partners, boards, accreditation bodies, and external agencies. 4. Faculty Recruitment, Development & Management Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate full-time and adjunct faculty. Lead faculty in program reviews, curriculum refinement, and teaching excellence. Drive continuous faculty development and professional training programs. Conduct comprehensive faculty performance evaluations. 5. Quality Assurance Ensure high-quality teaching, learning outcomes, and academic rigor. Analyze program performance, student outcomes, and audit findings. Lead accreditation, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. Evaluate teaching effectiveness, course design, and student success metrics. 6. Research, Innovation & Industry Alliances Promote a research-oriented culture through publications, projects, and collaborations. Build partnerships with industry, academic institutions, and government bodies. Secure grants, sponsorships, and external funding. Encourage innovation in pedagogy, technology, and curriculum. Education, Knowledge, Skills & Critical Experiences Ph.D. from a recognized university (mandatory). Strong foundation in allied health practice, teaching methodologies, and public relations. Knowledge of assessment strategies, accreditation processes, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with higher education trends and professional development methods. Proven planning, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ethical leadership. Commitment to student success, teaching excellence, and academic innovation. Experience with health professions, industry collaboration, and institutional governance. Prior experience as Department Chair, Program Director, Associate Dean, or Dean preferred. Demonstrated record of teaching excellence and program innovation.
