Application Engineering Practice Head

The Practice Head of Application Engineering is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving business growth, delivery excellence, and innovation in application development. The role focuses on full-stack engineering across UX, mobile, web, immersive technologies, and low-code/no-code platforms. The leader will guide teams in adopting modern development practices, leveraging AI in SDLC, and delivering high-impact solutions aligned with customer needs.Key Responsibilities:- Application Development Leadership- Provide technical and strategic leadership across various application development paradigms: Web, Mobile, Low-code/No-code, and Immersive technologies.- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices and tools across the SDLC.- Business Development & Practice Growth- Own revenue generation and growth strategy for the Application Engineering practice.- Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, and delivery teams to identify and pursue new opportunities.- AI Integration in SDLC- Guide teams on leveraging AI tools and platforms to enhance productivity, quality, and automation in software development.- Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and integrate relevant solutions into engineering workflows.- Design Thinking & UX Strategy- Champion user-centric design through design thinking methodologies.- Ensure high-quality user experience across all applications.- Architecture & Technical Consulting- Provide expert consultation on application architecture, design patterns, and technology stack selection.- Support delivery teams and clients in making informed decisions on engineering approaches.- Stakeholder Engagement- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams.- Represent the practice in strategic forums and contribute to thought leadership.Wok Location: Bengaluru / Mysore / Hyderabad / Pune / ChennaiRequired Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.- 18 to 20 years of experience in software/application engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.- Proven expertise in Agile delivery, DevOps practices, and full-stack web & mobile development.- Strong understanding of AI tools in software development, design thinking, and UX principles.- Experience in consulting, architecture design, and stakeholder management.
