Think build–measure–learn, not build–hope.The roleOwn the back end and core integrations, ship an MVP by June 2026, and help us grow from 0 to our first 20+ users and beyond.You'll be:The technical lead for the platform (effectively a founding engineer / business partner)Making product decisions as much as technical onesTurning customer conversations into shipped features and experimentsIf you enjoy 0→1, talking to users, and making things reliable in production, you'll be happy here.Equity & incentivesThis is a business partner role, not a standard employee position.Milestone-based ownership of the business with a maximum of 10% ownership available as milestones are hit over timeAn additional 3% long-term bonus if you're still on the founding team when we reach a £100m valuationExact structure and vesting will be agreed together, aligned with the milestones aboveSalary & bonus: Cash compensation will start and grow as we hit product and revenue milestonesWe'll agree a starting arrangement that makes sense for both of us (e.g. modest base + upside as we sign and retain customers)Our stack (current & planned)You don't need all of this, but you should be comfortable picking things up quickly:Backend: Python (FastAPI / Django / similar), APIs (REST, webhooks), background workersFrontend: React, Tailwind CSS, SPA dashboard for customersInfra & data: Docker, AWS, Postgres (via Supabase), Redis or queuesVoice & AI:Telephony: Twilio / SignalWire (or similar)ASR / TTS / LLMs (OpenAI etc.)RAG, vector DBs (e.g. pgvector / Pinecone)MCP servers and tool-calling style integrationsOps: Auth, logging, monitoring/observability, basic security and compliance hygieneIf you've used Node.js/TypeScript in the past, that's absolutely fine too — the key is being fluent in modern web back ends.What you'll do (milestones)We'll tie equity to clear milestones so we're aligned on outcomes:0–6 months (by June 2026):Ship a working MVP voice agent from end to endA handful of pilot customers using it in the real world~12 months:At least 20 active users / businesses on the platformBasic analytics and feedback loops in place (call stats, success rates, etc.)~18 months:Tighten product–market fit: refine features based on what customers actually useImprove reliability, speed, call quality, and the agent's "brains"~3 years:Platform and customer base aiming towards a £20m valuation~5 years:Targeting a £100m valuation with a mature, sticky product and clear economicsDay to day, that looks like:Designing and building APIs, data models, and integrationsStanding up and hardening our infra on AWSWorking closely with the founder on customer interviews, product experiments, and roadmapsKeeping quality high without over-engineering: tests where they matter, logs where we'll actually read themReviewing your own work critically and shaping the overall architecture as we growYou'll be a good fit if you:Have 4–8+ years building SaaS back ends & APIs in productionHave worked on real-time systems, queues, or telephony (nice to have, not mandatory)Are pragmatic about testing, security, and ops — not reckless, not perfectionistAre happy to own architecture and do code reviewsEnjoy talking to users and turning feedback into changesLike Lean Startup thinking: ship small, measure, learn, adjustLocation: India or UK-friendly time zones, fully remote.The intention is very simple: if you help build a valuable company, you should own a meaningful piece of it.How we work (Lean Startup style)We prioritise learning over guessing: quick experiments, interviews, and usage data drive decisionsWe favour small, shippable slices over big "perfect" releasesWe measure what we ship wherever reasonable: call success, drop-off points, user actionsWe're honest about what's working and what isn't, and are willing to kill features fastIf that sounds like your idea of fun, you'll fit right in.How to applyEmail janeiro.meosa@mindible.co.uk with:Your GitHub / portfolio or 2–3 live products you've shippedA short note on your most relevant experienceYour availability (start date + preferred hours/time zone)One paragraph: how would you take a scrappy pilot voice agent to a reliable, billable production product in 30 days?We'll start with a relaxed chat about your experience, the product, and whether the milestones and equity structure feel right for you.
