Job Title: Senior Backend EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our team. Our platform enables users to connect, learn, and grow their financial confidence together.Key Responsibilities:Spearhead the development and scaling of high-volume, low-latency backend services to support our growing user base and data throughput.Owning end-to-end delivery of critical backend initiatives - from design and implementation to production rollout and monitoring.Architect robust, scalable systems and improve our microservices framework to enhance performance and facilitate our international expansion plans.Ensure system reliability, efficiency, and redundancy, including disaster recovery strategies and data integrity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend features with user demands and overall business goals.Mentor junior developers and lead by example in coding, process refinement, and architectural decisions.Optimize existing systems for maximum speed and scalability through rigorous testing and profiling.Spearhead innovations in data security, including enhanced protocols for user data protection and compliance with global standards.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.4+ years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record in scalable systems.Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.Extensive experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, and serverless architectures.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Strong database management skills with both SQL and NoSQL databases.Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience with financial services applications or social networking platforms will be a significant plus.About UsWe value ownership, curiosity, and collaboration.
