Software Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java programming language
  • Experience with Apache Spark and related technologies
  • Knowledge of Hive, Impala, and HBase for data processing
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Familiarity with high performance and low latency component development for Spark clusters

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Develop high performance and low latency components to run Spark clusters
  • Interpret functional requirements into design approaches that can be served through the Big Data platform
  • Collaborate and partner with Global Teams based across different locations
  • Propose best practices and standards and handover to the operations
  • Perform the testing of software prototypes and transfer to the operational team
  • Process data using Hive, Impala, and HBase
  • Perform analysis of large data sets and derive insights

Category-wise Technical Skills:

  • Object-Oriented Programming: Strong understanding and application of OOP principles
  • Java: 8+ years of experience with Java programming
  • Apache Spark: Proficiency in developing and maintaining Spark clusters
  • Data Processing: Experience with Hive, Impala, and HBase for processing large datasets

Experience:

  • 8+ years of strong experience in Java development
  • Experience in developing high performance and low latency components for Spark clusters
  • Experience in interpreting functional requirements into design approaches for Big Data platforms

Day-to-Day Activities:
