Oracle Database AdministratorThe ideal candidate will oversee the lifecycle of Oracle databases across various versions, from installation and configuration to performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.Key Responsibilities:Installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting of Oracle databases.Perform periodic maintenance and patching as required.Monitor database performance and proactively optimize it for efficiency.Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Oracle Recovery Manager.Establish and implement best practices and automation initiatives for improved productivity.Lead database migration projects from on-premises environments to cloud-based solutions or version upgrades.Required Skills:Proficiency in RMAN backup and recovery strategies for data integrity.A solid understanding of Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.Hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization techniques.Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management of databases.Experience with patching, upgrades, and database cloning processes.A strong grasp of Unix/Linux system administration principles related to Oracle.Proficiency in writing complex PL/SQL scripts and shell scripting for automation purposes.Experience in managing large-scale database environments (multi-TB).Effective communication skills with both technical and management teams.Preferred Skills:Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Autonomous Databases for enhanced scalability.Experience with GoldenGate or other replication tools for real-time data synchronization.Knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL and MongoDB administration for diverse database needs.Experience in database security auditing and compliance for regulatory adherence.Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for streamlined database deployment.Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) in relation to databases for improved flexibility.Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP, OCM) are a significant asset for career advancement.Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures for organizational alignment.We offer a dynamic work environment that fosters growth, innovation, and collaboration.
