About Position: We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Apache Kafka to design, build, and maintain scalable, event-driven systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development, distributed systems, and real-time data streaming, with a passion for building high-performance, resilient applications.Role: Java Kafka DeveloperLocation: Bangalore, HyderabadExperience: 7+ YearsJob Type: Full Time EmploymentWhat You'll Do: Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices with strong integration to Apache Kafka.Architect and implement real-time data streaming pipelines and event-driven architectures.Develop and optimize producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams applications for performance and reliability.Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance in Kafka-based systems.Work closely with DevOps to deploy, monitor, and scale Kafka clusters and microservices.Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring for streaming applications.Collaborate with business and data teams to understand data flow requirements and ensure efficient message processing.Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and mentoring of junior developers.Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve system performance and developer productivity.Expertise You'll Bring: 7+ years of professional experience in Java development.Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including configuration, tuning, and performance optimization.Expertise in Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry (Avro/Protobuf).Solid understanding of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture.Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and message serialization/deserialization.Proficiency in multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous processing in Java.Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of distributed systems, event sourcing, and data streaming concepts.Strong skills in SQL and working with relational or NoSQL databases.Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageCulture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certificationsOpportunity to work with cutting-edge technologiesEmployee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awardsAnnual health check-upsInsurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parentsValues-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:Persistent Ltd. is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
