Provide guidance and training to team members on advanced troubleshooting techniques, network architecture, and technologies. Assign tasks and responsibilities to L2 engineers and monitor their progress. Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for skills development within the team. Network Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex network issues that cannot be resolved by L2 engineers. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network problems related to LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, and other critical network infrastructure components. Work closely with L3 teams for complex network configurations and escalations. Network Design and Implementation: Assist in the design, configuration, and implementation of network infrastructure upgrades or expansions. Collaborate with senior engineers to develop network plans, including hardware selection, network topology, and capacity planning. Ensure the implementation of network changes follows best practices and minimizes network downtime. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Oversee the monitoring of network performance using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG. Analyze performance metrics and identify areas for optimization. Implement performance improvements, including load balancing, route optimization, and network segmentation. Network Security Oversight: Ensure that network security protocols are followed and assist with configuring firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and other security measures. Monitor the network for security threats and coordinate with security teams to mitigate risks. Assist in incident response and post-mortem analysis for security incidents. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation on network configurations, diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and troubleshooting processes. Job Description for L2: We are seeking a highly skilled L2 Network Engineer with a strong background in network troubleshooting, Palo Alto firewalls, FTD, ASA, Aruba switch, Cisco switching, static routing and PBR. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced L2-level troubleshooting for network incidents and outages. Manage, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, FTD , ASA including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention. Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Aruba /cisco switches (access, distribution, and core layers). Implement and manage static routing & PBR across the network environment. Monitor network performance and conduct regular tuning for optimal throughput and reliability. Collaborate with the all team to ensure proper firewall and network policy configurations. Perform network upgrades, firmware patches, and change management procedures. Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports. Participate in on-call rotations and provide escalation support for critical issues.
