As a skilled Data Platform Engineer, you will be part of an elite team responsible for designing and operating large-scale data systems across cloud environments.You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure system reliability, optimize performance, architect distributed systems and drive automation across the data stack. This includes observability, SLO-driven operations, incident management and end-to-end reliability engineering for services used globally.Your key responsibilities include:Platform Reliability & Operations: Operating and supporting production data platforms at scale across internal and public cloud environments. Performing capacity planning, performance testing, disaster recovery planning and managing distributed systems. Participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure service availability.Embedded SRE Collaboration: Working closely with partner engineering teams in a unified SRE model. Implementing and enforcing consistent incident management processes. Defining and maintaining user-journey-based SLOs with strong observability metrics.Data Platform Engineering: Architecting, deploying, tuning and troubleshooting Big Data ecosystem tools such as Apache Spark, Flink, Airflow, Hive, Hadoop/HDFS, Trino, Druid etc. Managing storage and coordination systems such as Cassandra, Zookeeper, Redis and cloud/block/blob storage technologies.You must have strong hands-on Kubernetes experience, expertise in Big Data technologies, high-availability systems architecture knowledge and hands-on experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools. Nice-to-have skills include Java programming experience and experience with Pulumi.
