Role OverviewWe are seeking a Tax Manager – Indirect Tax to join our growing team in Bangalore. This role is at the intersection of Tax, strategy, and compliance, supporting both Clicktech and New Trends Commerce businesses. You’ll be a key advisor to leadership, shaping indirect tax strategy that enables business expansion, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to anticipate tax implications of new initiatives, identify process gaps, and develop scalable solutions that support our fast-growing e-commerce and BPO businesses. This is a high-visibility role offering opportunities to influence strategic business decisions while ensuring we maintain the highest standards of compliance and governance.Key ResponsibilitiesBe the business partner for tax strategy: Work with leadership and business teams to proactively assess indirect tax risks and opportunities for both Clicktech and New Trends Commerce.Drive policy and process improvements: Track regulatory changes, evaluate their impact, and implement business-ready solutions to ensure compliance and agility.Shape business launches: Collaborate with category and finance teams to evaluate new programs or product launches, ensuring tax structures are optimized from day one.Lead audits and assessments: Design frameworks for audit preparedness, manage GST assessments across states, and lead representation before authorities.Protect business interests: Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to close reconciliations, minimize tax leakages, and ensure seamless input credit utilization.Strategic decision-making: Review tax positions periodically, provide insights for new business models, and strengthen governance around indirect tax.Cross-functional impact: Support finance during statutory and internal audits and contribute to monthly tax reviews with senior leadership.What You’ll BringChartered Accountant (CA) with 8+ years of experience in Indirect Tax across Retail, FMCG, or Consulting firms.Deep understanding of GST laws, audits, and litigation management.Proven ability to translate complex tax concepts into actionable business recommendations.Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel and reporting tools.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Demonstrated bias for action and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Why Join UsOpportunity to influence tax strategy for two fast-growing e-commerce businesses.Be part of a culture that values ownership, innovation, and impact.Work on complex, high-impact projects that drive business efficiency and scalability.Grow your career in a dynamic environment where your ideas matter.Disclaimer: Clicktech and New Trends Commerce are equal opportunities employers.
