Job Summary:


We're seeking an exceptional Senior SDE/Lead Engineer to join our leadership team and drive our technical vision forward. As our ideal candidate, you're a experienced engineer with a passion for building and guiding high-performing teams and products. You'll be responsible for setting the technical direction of our engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet our customers' and partners’ evolving needs. Strongly preferred candidates will:

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead, manage, and grow a team of talented engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for growth
  • Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web applications from scratch; write clean, maintainable, and reusable code
  • Develop and execute our technical strategy, aligning with company goals and vision
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from conception to delivery
  • Take lead on creating feature lists and ensure MVP delivery under tight timelines
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code and develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using modern web technologies.
  • Build and integrate APIs and services to support front-end functionalities and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Collaborate with third-party software developers and oversee completion of tasks within deadline, share responsibilities with third party software developers for efficient delivery of work
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning
  • Establish and maintain high standards for the platform, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and refusing to settle for the status quo
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices


Required Skills


  • Proven experience as a full-stack developer or a similar role.
  • 2-3 years of experience in software and web development at top-tier tech firms or startups with 1+ years in a leadership role with familiarity in agile development methodologies and version control systems
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in computer science and engineering from top-tier Indian or global schools
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like NextJS, Angular, or Vue.js, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of back-end/server-side technologies such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or PHP
  • Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Azure) across various GenAI applications
  • Proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server; experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra; ability to design and optimise database schemas
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of user needs developed through liaising and collaboration with investment team and a relentless drive to exceed expectations
  • Innovation & Excellence: Commitment to building the best standards and driving innovation beyond the status quo


Good-to-Have Qualifications:


  • Java & Spring Boot: Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot
  • AI/ML: Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics concepts
  • LLM: Understanding of large language models
  • Experience with cloud computing, DevOps, and containerisation


Compensation and Progression:


Compensation and designation to be decided based on quality of your candidature and fit for the role, but will include a fixed portion, variable portion, and ESOPs to be decided based on performance and fit. Progression into a senior engineering position for the right candidate upon complete and timely delivery of the MVP is a strong possibility. Demonstration of good attitude and a solid technical and cultural fit is a necessity for a long-term association with the firm with equity-linked benefits.
