Data Transformation SpecialistAs a critical member of our data operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading a strategic migration initiative from Teradata to BigQuery. The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of Power BI reports.Migrate reporting data sources from Teradata to BigQuery while ensuring minimal disruption to existing business processes.Repoint and validate existing Power BI reports to align with new BigQuery data models, enhancing overall reporting efficiency.Design and develop optimized tables, views, and queries in BigQuery to support migrated reports, thereby improving data accuracy and performance.Conduct rigorous quality assurance validation to guarantee data integrity and performance parity post-migration.The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience and expertise in GCP – BigQuery, Cloud Storage, SQL, and Power BI, with a strong ability to drive complex projects forward.Key Responsibilities:• Lead the migration of reporting data sources from Teradata to BigQuery.• Ensure smooth repointing and validation of existing Power BI reports to new BigQuery data models.• Design and develop optimized tables, views, and queries in BigQuery to support migrated reports.• Conduct QA validation to guarantee data accuracy and performance parity post-migration.Required Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have:• 5-10 years of experience in data engineering with expertise in GCP – BigQuery, Cloud Storage, SQL, and Power BI.• Strong knowledge of data modeling, querying, and analytics.• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Benefits:This role offers a challenging and rewarding career path, with opportunities for growth and professional development in a dynamic and innovative environment.
