Director EngineeringRole Overview:Position: Director EngineeringReporting to: Senior Vice President of TechnologyPrimary Responsibility: Oversee the architecture, design, and development of scalable technology solutions, while mentoring and managing a team of technical leads, full-stack engineers, and architects.Key Responsibilities:Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable technology solutions.Drive best engineering and operational practices.Lead and mentor a team of technical leads, full-stack engineers, and architects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, analytics, business units) to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.Provide strategic direction and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Ensure data integrity, security, scalability, efficiency, and availability across platforms.Stay current with emerging technologies (AI/ML) and integrate them into the product.Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.Qualifications:15+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 4+ years in a management role.Strong leadership and management skills, especially in globally distributed teams.Experience with Agile methodologies and a passion for high-quality software delivery.Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex projects independently.Desired Attributes:Strong customer focus, multitasking ability, and a desire to learn and implement best practices.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.Proven ability to lead and mentor technology teams, including full-stack engineers, technical leads, and architects.About us:Belzabar Software Design is a world-class software boutique with headquarters in the US and an impressive development record that spans a number of major projects.
