Senior Manager Large Language Model Operations

Job DescriptionWe're seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Large Language Model (LLM) operations infrastructure.This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned expert in MLOps and cloud-native architectures to drive the design, implementation, and scaling of our LLM solutions.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in model deployment, monitoring, drift detection, and lifecycle management. They will establish best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and drift detection, while also implementing safety guardrails and bias mitigation frameworks.Key Responsibilities:Design and Implement Scalable Infrastructure: Lead the development of scalable infrastructure for training, fine-tuning, deployment, and inference of LLMs.Establish Best Practices: Develop and maintain best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and drift detection.Implement Safety Guardrails: Design and implement safety guardrails, compliance standards, and bias mitigation frameworks to ensure responsible AI.Partner with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline LLMOps workflows.Build Automation Pipelines: Develop automation pipelines for retraining, dataset updates, and version management.Evaluate Tools and Frameworks: Assess tools and frameworks to improve performance, reduce latency, and optimize costs.Ensure Full Visibility: Ensure full visibility into deployed models with monitoring and alerting via tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.Mentor Team Members: Mentor team members, advocate for best practices, and influence stakeholders to adopt scalable LLMOps standards.Requirements:Strong expertise in LLM deployment, scaling, and monitoring.Proficiency in MLOps frameworks (Kubeflow, MLflow, Databricks deployment patterns).Hands-on with cloud-native architectures (Azure preferred).Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.Strong knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).Deep understanding of model evaluation, drift detection, prompt management, and safety guardrails.Programming proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.Familiarity with vector databases and RAG pipelines.Strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional alignment skills.Knowledge of LLM safety, bias mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
