Job Type: Full-time



Must Have: Azure DATA Factory; Azure SQL; Azure Databricks; Azure Cosmos DB; PySpark; Python; Snowflake

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based OLTP databases using Azure SQL and Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Develop, optimize, and automate data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
  • Work with PySpark and Python to create and maintain scalable ETL processes and data transformation workflows.
  • Manage and maintain large-scale data environments in Snowflake and other Azure data services.
  • Optimize performance of OLTP databases to support business-critical applications.
  • Implement data security, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies for Azure-based databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure database solutions into broader application architecture.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues related to database systems and cloud infrastructure.
  • Assist with data migration from legacy systems to Azure-based environments.
  • Ensure the efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of structured and unstructured data within Azure services.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-15 years of experience in cloud database engineering with a focus on Azure.
  • Proven experience working with Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Python for building and managing data pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of Snowflake and its integration with Azure services.
  • Expertise in OLTP database systems, performance tuning, query optimization, and high availability configurations.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security best practices, and disaster recovery strategies in Azure environments.
  • Experience with data migration to Azure cloud platforms from on-premise or other cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure certifications such as Azure Database Administrator Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for database deployments.
  • Knowledge of Data Lake architectures and big data solutions in Azure.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and performance management tools such as Azure Monitor or Datadog.
