Job Title: Technical Project Manager/Engineering Lead – Ecommerce & Retail Technology

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver high-impact Ecommerce initiatives in the Retail domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong FullStack development background, deep understanding of retail operations, and proven experience managing cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, customer-centric digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end delivery of Ecommerce projects including web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on FullStack architecture (frontend, backend, APIs, databases) and ensure technical feasibility.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI teams, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to align on goals and priorities.
• Agile Execution: Lead Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives; ensure timely delivery of features and releases.
• Integration Management: Oversee integrations with ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateways, and third-party platforms.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks early, propose mitigation strategies, and manage escalations effectively.
• Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, project health, and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in Ecommerce or Retail.
• Hands-on experience with FullStack technologies (e.g., React/Angular, Node.js/Java, SQL/NoSQL, REST APIs).
• Strong understanding of Ecommerce platforms and retail workflows (e.g., inventory, order management, promotions).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Certifications like PMP, CSM, or SAFe are a plus.

Required Skills:

Technical Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in FullStack development:
• Frontend: React.js, Angular, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Backend: Node.js, Java, Python, .NET Core, Spring Boot.
• Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• API Design & Integration: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, SOAP, microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud:
• Familiarity with services like EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloud Functions, App Services.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices:
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

Project Management & Agile Delivery:

• Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum teams; ability to lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Skilled in using project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Trello, Asana, or MS Project.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, release management, and version control (Git, Bitbucket).

Domain Knowledge – Ecommerce & Retail:

• Deep understanding of Ecommerce workflows:
• Product catalog management, cart & checkout flows, payment processing, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Familiarity with Retail systems:
• Order Management Systems (OMS), Inventory Management, POS systems, CRM, ERP integrations.
• Experience with OmniChannel strategies:
• BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick Up In Store), BORIS (Buy Online, Return In Store), curbside pickup, endless aisle.

Soft Skills & Leadership:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
