Role & responsibilities


  • Collaborating with business units, and schools to understand their specific needs, goals, and requirements for the workspace. This includes gathering information about the company's culture, work processes, and the functions of different departments.
  • Space Planning : Designing layouts that maximize the efficient use of space. This involves determining the placement of workstations, meeting rooms, collaboration areas, breakout spaces, and other elements to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
  • Interior Design : Selecting and arranging interior elements such as furniture, lighting, color schemes, flooring, and wall finishes. The goal is to create a visually appealing and cohesive design that aligns with the company's branding and style.
  • Ergonomics: Ensuring that the workspace is designed with ergonomic principles in mind to promote the health and comfort of employees. This includes choosing ergonomic furniture, designing adjustable workstations, and creating environments that reduce physical strain.
  • Functional Design: Designing spaces that accommodate the specific needs of different departments and job roles. This might involve creating open collaborative areas for teams that require frequent interaction, as well as quiet spaces for focused work.
  • Sustainability: Incorporating sustainable design practices by selecting eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient lighting, and other environmentally conscious elements to minimize the workspace's ecological footprint.
  • Technology Integration: Integrating modern technology infrastructure, such as audio-visual systems, smart lighting, and connectivity solutions, to support the technological needs of the organization.
  • Budget Management: Developing designs that align with the allocated budget, sourcing cost-effective materials and furnishings, and providing cost estimates for the project.
  • Project Management: Overseeing the entire design process from concept to completion. This involves coordinating with contractors, architects, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design is executed as planned.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly updating project stakeholders on the progress of the design, incorporating feedback, and making necessary adjustments based on their input.
  • Trends and Research: Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, workplace innovations, and industry best practices to offer innovative and cutting-edge solutions.
  • Presentation Skills: Creating and delivering presentations to clients or stakeholders to effectively communicate design concepts, layout plans, and material selections.
  • Problem Solving: Addressing design challenges and finding creative solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and practicality.
