Job Title: Cloud Database AdministratorDepartment: Managed ServicesPosition Type: Full Time Location: India RemoteWorking Hours: RotationalAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator to join our team. As a Cloud Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining databases on cloud platforms.Key Responsibilities:Administer all aspects of SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, deployment, and general administration of the database engineExperience with virtualization, including Microsoft Azure Cloud or Amazon Web ServicesBasic knowledge of the Windows operating system and how it interacts with the databaseDatabase scripting skills. Ability to read and analyze Transact-SQLAutomate DBA tasks using PowerShell or any programming languageDeep expertise in troubleshooting slow-running queries, optimizing indexes, analyzing execution plans, and improving database performance at scale.Automate backup scheduling and test restore procedures.Strong understanding of database security models, encryption, and auditing practices.Experience designing, configuring, and testing database standard and high availability modelsExperience with reporting services, including SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) and Analysis Service.Deploy and manage Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.Configure Azure SQL geo-replication, failover groups, and Azure backup strategies.Implement Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Automation for proactive issue detection.Requirements:3-6 years of experience in administering all aspects of SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databasesMicrosoft DP-300 Certification is preferred but not requiredBenefits:We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive health insurance, fitness allowances, work-from-home allowances, paid maternity and parental leave, and generous PTO.We value diversity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace and are an equal-opportunity employer committed to these principles.Please note that we do not discriminate based on any protected category, including race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, disability, veteran status, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
