Artificial Intelligence Research EngineerWe are seeking a skilled Research Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, training and optimizing large language models and high-performance inference systems.Design and optimize pipelines for LLM training and inference on cloud-based GPUs.Curate and maintain datasets for pre-training and fine-tuning.Implement and improve transformer architectures, focusing on attention mechanisms, positional encodings and Model of Experts (MoE).Enhance inference efficiency by leveraging FlashAttention, PagedAttention, and KV caches.Collaborate with research and product teams to design experiments, analyze results and drive improvements.Requirements:Strong proficiency in Python and adherence to software engineering best practices.Hands-on experience with LLM training and inference.Proficiency with PyTorch or JAX.Experience with Hugging Face libraries: transformers, trl, accelerate.Expertise in distributed and mixed-precision training on cloud-hosted GPUs.In-depth understanding of transformer internals: attention mechanisms, positional encodings and MoE.Familiarity with writing prompts, tool definitions and managing context for Large Language Models (LLMs) in real-world applications.
