Senior Backend Engineer OpportunityWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer to own and drive the development of core backend systems, leveraging their expertise in building high-performance infrastructure to power intelligent agent workflows and AI-native applications.As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, scaling, and optimizing cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Your strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and solid CS fundamentals will enable you to tackle complex system design challenges and drive innovation in our product.Key Responsibilities:Design and Scale Backend Systems: Build high-performance backend systems using Python (FastAPI), ensuring modular and efficient architecture aligned with product goals.Cloud Deployment and Optimization: Deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure for reliability and scalability.LLM Integration and Collaboration: Work closely with AI and product teams to integrate LLM pipelines (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) into backend services.Leadership and Engineering Culture: Independently lead projects, mentor junior engineers, set code quality standards, and contribute to a fast-paced, high-ownership engineering culture.Required Skills and Qualifications:Backend Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Python, with strong proficiency in FastAPI, and solid CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, system design, and design patterns.Scalable Systems: Proven ability to design and scale production-grade systems, with a deep understanding of architecture and trade-offs.Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, including deployment, CI/CD, observability, and cost optimization.AI & Ownership: Strong ownership mindset with experience delivering end-to-end solutions, including AI-native backends using LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.Agent Frameworks: Experience with agent frameworks like Autogen, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or AutoChain, along with exposure to vector databases, embedding pipelines, and retrieval-based systems.FinTech Background: Background in FinTech or internal tools, with a strong passion for developer experience and infrastructure innovation.Benefits:Competitive Compensation: Industry-leading pay with performance-based rewards.Cutting-edge Projects: Work on cutting-edge AI applications with global impact and real-world use cases.Remote-first Team: Join a remote-first, fast-paced team with direct influence on product and architecture decisions.Are You a Fit?
