Read more here: LinkedIn PostWho are we looking for:Someone with hands-on experience in managing IP filings, docketing, and working with Indian and international IP systems.A professional who understands the basics of commercial contracts and can support contract reviews with accuracy.Someone comfortable coordinating with attorneys, external counsels, and international IP offices.A detail-driven individual who can organise, track, and maintain legal and IP documentation.A candidate who can conduct preliminary IP searches, legal research, and prepare internal summaries.Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent drafting and proofreading skills.Top 3 Daily Tasks:Prepare, file, and track patents, trademarks, designs, and copyrights for India and international jurisdictions (WIPO, USPTO, EPO).Maintain and update the IP docketing system, ensuring timely filings, renewals, and prosecution deadlines.Assist in reviewing contracts — NDAs, vendor agreements, licensing agreements, and IP assignments — and highlight key clauses and risks.Minimum Work Experience Required:2–5 years of experience in a corporate legal department, IP consultancy, or law firm.Direct, hands-on experience with IP filings and docketing (mandatory).Exposure to contract review and basic compliance processes.Experience working with international filing platforms is a plus.Top 5 Skills You Should Possess:Strong understanding of IP filing systems (Indian IP portal, WIPO, USPTO, EPO).Ability to review contracts and identify key clauses and risks.Excellent drafting, proofreading, research, and documentation skills.Strong organisational abilities to manage deadlines, records, and legal processes.Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams and external partners.What You'll Be Expected to Do:Prepare, file, track, and manage IP applications across patents, trademarks, designs, and copyrights.Draft and assist in preparing responses to office actions, oppositions, and prosecution matters.Coordinate with international agents, attorneys, and IP offices.Support IP audits, due diligence, and portfolio reporting.Assist in contract review, contract repository management, and lifecycle tracking.Conduct legal research on IP law, contract law, and data protection.Draft PoAs, declarations, affidavits, letters, and supporting legal documents.Manage physical and digital records, schedule deadlines, and coordinate with finance for IP/legal invoices.Bonus Points For:Certification or diploma in IPR, contract law, or legal research.Experience using contract lifecycle management tools.Exposure to technology domains — software, AI, electronics, networking, or semiconductors.Understanding of global IP systems and familiarity with compliance frameworks.
