Syntax has offices worldwide, and partners with Oracle, SAP, AWS, Microsoft, IBM and other global technology leaders.Job Description – Senior ABAP / RAP DeveloperPosition Title: Senior ABAP / RAP Developer Location: Remote Experience Required: Minimum 6 years Employment Type: Full-time---Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior ABAP / RAP Developer with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA backend development and strong understanding of SAP extensibility models (in-app and side-by-side extensions via SAP BTP). Experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 development is a plus but not mandatory. The role focuses on delivering upgrade-safe, high-performance solutions aligned with SAP's Clean Core principles.---Key Responsibilities· Design, develop, and optimize ABAP programs including CDS Views, OData services, and RAP-based applications.· Apply SAP extensibility models for creating secure and upgrade-compliant solutions.· Collaborate with functional consultants and architects to translate requirements into technical designs.· Perform performance tuning, debugging, and issue resolution.· Deliver solutions compliant with SAP Public/Private Cloud development guidelines.· Create clear technical documentation and ensure best practices are followed.---Required Skills & Experience· Minimum 6 years of SAP ABAP development experience.· Strong expertise in:o Object-Oriented ABAPo Core Data Services (CDS) and ABAP SQLo OData services developmento ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)o SAP extensibility models (in-app and side-by-side via BTP)· Familiarity with CI/CD, gCTS, and version control (Git).· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.---Good to Have· Experience in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud projects.· SAP Fiori Elements / SAPUI5 development skills.· Knowledge of CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).· SAP Development Certifications.Why Syntax?Become a part of our success story and work in a company with exciting innovation projects that are causing a stir across the industry.
