Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual for an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in application security. The role involves assisting security professionals in conducting various application security assessments, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, static/dynamic analysis, and manual code reviews.As part of the training period, you will receive comprehensive guidance and practical exposure to the core practices of penetration testing, application security, and information security. During this time, your full availability is expected to ensure maximum learning and development.Upon successfully completing the training period and demonstrating potential, you will transition to a paid internship. During this phase, you will work on real-world projects, such as conducting security assessments, performing vulnerability analyses, developing reports on security findings, and working with development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.Required Skills and QualificationsFamiliarity with Burp Suite for application security testing.Basic knowledge of other tools such as Nmap, OWASP ZAP, and Metasploit.Understanding of the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.Basic knowledge of technologies such as HTTP protocols, SQL injection, XSS, and secure coding practices.A fundamental understanding of penetration testing processes and methodologies.Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.Demonstrated interest in application security through projects, coursework, or extracurricular activities.Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and common web frameworks.Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go).Basic understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.BenefitsGain practical experience in application security within a reputable organization.Mentorship from experienced security professionals and industry experts.Networking opportunities with professionals in the information security field.Skill development in a rapidly growing and in-demand field.Resume building with relevant experience in a reputable organization.Potential for future opportunities within the company or the broader industry.OthersThis remote opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about information security, penetration testing, and application security.
