POSITION PURPOSE:
This role involves working closely with senior leadership of the G&PS practice, playing a crucial role in driving our online presence and engaging with our target audience. The right candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and foster customer loyalty. With a focus on clarity, accuracy, and professionalism, this individual will be responsible for ensuring that the department maintains a cohesive voice across all channels.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
●Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement.
●Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across various social media platforms.
●Monitor and respond to social media interactions, fostering a positive community and adding value to user interactions.
●Analyze social media metrics and generate reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
●Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
●Collaborate with internal teams to align social media efforts with overall marketing and communication strategies.
●Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation and performance tracking.
●Conceptualize initiatives such as events and account-based activities to engage key stakeholders.
●Prepare Points of View (PoVs), leadership updates, meeting updates, and thought leadership content for social media feeds.
●Support marketing activities by assisting in the creation of print and social media articles through research on current and future trends in the government sector.
●Monitor competitor social media landscapes and gather competitive intelligence to proactively work with stakeholders on trending topics.
●Optimizing content for SEO to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred.

THE INDIVIDUAL

●Located in Chennai.
●At least 3 years’ proven experience as a Social Media specialist or similar role in digital marketing.
●Sound understanding of the government market and policy making landscape.
●Excellent knowledge of Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media best practices
●Good writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
●Strong research skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling content.
●Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to incorporate keywords strategically.
●Creativity and a passion for storytelling.
●Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time-management skills.
