What will you do?
As a Research Engineer at Avataar, you will:
- Be part of an A* team building cutting-edge tech for creating images, videos, animations, and 3D.
- Brainstorm and ideate solutions with amazing fellow scientists and engineers to come up with creative solutions that work. This collaborative environment provides opportunities to contribute to groundbreaking research while focusing on real-world implementation and deployment.
- Develop and deploy state-of-the-art solutions for challenging real-world problems using a combination of Generative Modelling, Computer VIsion, and Graphics – both classical and modern, while processing large datasets, training models, evaluating, and iterating.
What are we looking for?
- A Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Solid fundamentals in CS, ML, and Computer Vision. 2+ years of hands-on engineering or research experience in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, or Machine Learning.
- Extremely proficient in Python and DL frameworks like PyTorch/Jax, from handling model training and inference.
- Optionally, a proven ability to conduct research, with publications in top-tier Vision/ML/Graphics conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, TPAMI, SIGGRAPH).
- Great engineering skills, codes up complex solutions as easily as they think of them.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment: Can swiftly and correctly prototype, debug, test, and iterate over solutions.
- Great at organizing and communicating ideas / results – both verbally and in writing and works well in a team environment.
