Material Cost Reduction Specialist

As a Project Lead, you will drive cross-functional teams to achieve material cost reduction targets for defined product areas. Your key responsibilities include planning, leading idea generation workshops with production plant, purchase, hardware, and design teams to reduce material costs. You will also conduct brainstorming sessions with experts for idea generation, evaluate design and process optimization initiatives for products, and drive quantitative risk management to decision-making in steering committees.Key skills required for this role include:Cross-functional leadership to achieve material cost reduction targetsProject management activities including project requirement/specification analysis & finalization, project scheduling, approval, and agreementsProblem-solving via 8D, DAR, CAR etc.Mechanical partlist generation (BOM), set-up & releaseDRBFM; Quality AssessmentsQualifications:• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experienceThe successful candidate will have the ability to read engineering drawings, handle engineering change management, and bill of materials. Strong problem-solving skills, including the use of 8D, DAR, CAR, and other methodologies, are essential. Experience with mechanical partlist generation, DRBFM, and quality assessments is highly desirable.This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Lead and contribute to the success of our company.
