Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Search Architect to join our team. As a Search Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced search solutions using Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.Your primary focus will be on architecting the backbone of our data engine from the ground up, creating and maintaining index templates, mappings, and lifecycle policies to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability.You will also be working closely with data engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality search experiences, leveraging LLMs and AI for data enrichment and improved search relevance.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:5+ years of experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch in production environments;Expert-level expertise in Python, with experience building APIs (preferably FastAPI);A deep understanding of search concepts, including analysers, tokenisers, relevance tuning, custom scoring, and query DSL;Experience with index template management, lifecycle policies, and large-scale data modelling;Proficiency in designing and optimising search pipelines and custom query builders;Strong testing background: integration, regression, and performance testing;DevOps skills: automation, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred);Excellent communication and collaboration skills;Experience with S3, AWS Lambda, and cloud-native architectures.Why You'll Love ItYou'll have the opportunity to work remotely, set your own core hours, and be part of a small senior team where decisions are quick and results are visible.We offer a collaborative, innovative, and supportive team culture where you can grow professionally and personally.
