We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our operations and drive innovation in phytochemistry-based product development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
• Oversee all aspects of operations, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for new product development and market expansion.
• Ensure alignment of business goals with regulatory, customer, and market expectations.
2. Product Development & Innovation
• Lead R&D initiatives to develop new phytochemical-based nutraceutical ingredients.
• Stay abreast of market trends and scientific advancements to innovate product offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to commercialization.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Head the Quality Assurance team to maintain and exceed international regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EFSA, ISO, GMP).
• Ensure compliance with local and global regulations for nutraceutical ingredients.
• Develop robust quality management systems to support product consistency and reliability.
4. Team Management
• Build and lead high-performing teams across R&D, QA, and production departments.
• Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff.
5. Operational Efficiency
• Monitor KPIs to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.
• Drive lean manufacturing practices and process optimizations.
• Establish systems for tracking and improving operational performance.
Qualifications & Experience
• Education:
• Master’s degree or higher in Phytochemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food ingredient industry.
• Proven experience in new product development involving phytochemicals or natural extracts.
• Hands-on leadership in Quality Assurance with expertise in meeting international regulatory standards.
• Track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and scaling operations.
Key Skills
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Deep understanding of phytochemistry, nutraceutical formulation, and manufacturing processes.
• Expertise in regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., FDA, EU regulations, GMP).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in operational planning and project management.
