About the Team: The team operates at the forefront of high-impact political consulting, working at the intersection of strategic foresight, rigorous policy analysis, and on-ground political engagement. It is dedicated to delivering precise, data-driven insights that support decision-making across diverse regions and complex stakeholder environments. As an intern with the NPI team, you will contribute to meticulous, structured research, thorough fact-verification, and the organised management of large, multi-layered datasets that inform key political and strategic initiatives. What Would This Role Entail? Conduct comprehensive desk and ground research using a variety of credible public and proprietary sources. Compile, verify, and systematically organise raw data into predefined and robust analytical formats. Proactively identify and resolve data gaps, inconsistencies, and duplication to ensure dataset integrity. Coordinate closely with internal subject-matter experts for contextual validation and advanced data interpretation. Draft high-quality policy briefs, secondary research reports, and primary research-based documents. Maintain meticulous progress trackers, ensuring all research and reporting tasks are completed against strict quality and timeline benchmarks. Necessary Qualifications/Skills: Strong research aptitude and analytical thinking. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work systematically. Proficiency in spreadsheets and documentation tools. Ability to follow standard templates and operating procedures. Basic knowledge of Spreadsheets, Presentation Tools and Word Processors. Proficiency in English is required. Additionally, proficiency in Hindi is highly preferable and knowledge of regional languages such as Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, etc is also encouraged. Good to Have Skills: Basic understanding of politics and the nature of India’s democracy. Proficiency in Data Analysis and Research Tools.
