Job Title : Dy. Manager/ Manager – Plant HR

Location : Pune


Role Overview:

The HR Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations at the factory, ensuring seamless coordination with all stakeholders, and supporting the Plant HR Head. The role will involve managing employee relations (ER), union matters, statutory compliance, contractor workforce management, and promoting a culture of collaboration and productivity across the plant.


Key Responsibilities:

1) HR Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day HR operations at the factory, including workforce planning, on boarding, employee lifecycle management, and performance reviews.

2) Ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs and leave management.

3) Government & Statutory Liaison: Maintain healthy relations with government authorities, statutory bodies, and local administration. Ensure compliance with labor laws and other statutory regulations such as EPF, ESI, Factory Act, and others.

4) Employee Relations (ER) & Union Management: Actively manage union relationships, negotiate settlements, and handle collective bargaining agreements.

5) Manage employee grievances and lead disciplinary inquiries while ensuring alignment with company policies and legal compliance.

6) Contractor Workforce Management: Oversee the management of contractor workers, statutory compliance with the help of compliance partner, and ensuring harmonious working conditions.

7) Support to Plant HR Head: Act as the second-in-command to the Plant HR Head, supporting all HR operations and ensuring business alignment. Assist in the design and implementation of talent management and employee engagement strategies.

8) Stakeholder Engagement & Culture Development: Partner with function heads and other leaders to foster a collaborative, innovative, and performance-driven culture in the plant. Lead initiatives to promote employee engagement, well-being, and retention.

9) Compliance and Audits: Lead the HR team during internal and external audits, ensuring complete compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. Develop strategies to enhance compliance readiness and facilitate smooth audit processes.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBA in HR / Bachelor’s Degree in Labor Relations and Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR management role, preferably in a factory or manufacturing setup.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in handling unionized environments and employee relations.
  • Proven experience in managing contractor workforce and disciplinary processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
