Subject Matter Expertise OpportunityThe purpose of this project is to create high-quality assessment items aligned to state standards and state assessment tests across multiple states. We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert with expertise in English Language Arts (ELA) instruction for grades 3-8 and HS English I content level.The ideal candidate will have experience authoring rigorous assessment items, strong understanding of Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels, and familiarity with various question types. They will work closely with the Learning Design team to review and validate assessment questions, ensuring accuracy, pedagogical relevance, rigor, and alignment to standards.Key responsibilities include:Collaborating with the Learning Design team to generate and review AI-generated assessment questionsEvaluating questions for accuracy, pedagogical relevance, and alignment to standardsAuthoring assessment items, including passages, to ensure quality and accuracyRequired qualifications include:Proven expertise as a Subject Matter Expert in ELA instruction for grades 3-8 and HS English I content levelDemonstrated experience in authoring high-quality assessment items for state or standardized testingStrong understanding of DOK levels and experience authoring questions at DOK Level 2 and DOK Level 3This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Subject Matter Expert to collaborate with our team and contribute to the development of high-quality assessment items.
