Associate, Controls Room Data Management

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Firmwide Control Management mission is to solidify an effective control framework within and across the lines of business by identifying and remediating control issues with a sense of urgency, regardless of the source. The Firmwide Control Management team will work collaboratively with other control disciplines and will oversee existing control functions as well as the development of new control functions and protocols. This process will enable the firm to engage the appropriate teams in a timely manner and provide the ability to quickly remediate critical control issues across all the impacted areas of the firm.Job SummaryAs a Data Management Associate within the Meta Data Management team in the Controls Room, you will be responsible for supporting the onboarding and maintenance of data related to the Firmwide Operational Risk platforms and related ecosystem.Job responsibilitiesEngage with Product Owners to gather information on Business and Reporting concepts being onboarded, as necessaryReview and analyze metadata information captured in RDHP (Meta Data Management system) to ensure that they meet minimum metadata management requirements and guidelinesRefine Business concepts and reporting labels along with their descriptions and review with stakeholders in line with guidelines and standardsEngage with Product Owners and Technology counterparts to capture and maintain Business and Technical lineage for attributes for data traceabilityFollow-up with various stakeholders on open queries and additional information to close them out within targeted timelinesGenerate Business Glossary artifacts for BCBS 239 purposes along with submissionProvide scorecards, metrics, and management reports to stakeholders (e.g. senior management, line management, LOB/Functions) as necessary on the overall status of metadata managementEnsuring accurate and timely escalation and resolution of all inquiriesIdentify opportunities to automate metadata management process using tools of the futurePerform ad hoc analysis and generate data extracts using Databricks and SQLRequired qualifications, capabilities and skillsMaster's degree in Business Management/ Finance or bachelor's degree in Commerce/ Accounts or equivalent.8+ years of experience with 2 years of Data Management or related experience.Demonstrate good understanding of Data governance framework, Data quality & Data lineageHave understanding of data structures, data models, schemas, and taxonomiesKnowledge of Database management systems and ability to work with SQLAbility to use AI/ML tools and techniques for analyzing metadata patterns and trends to improve Data quality and governanceProficiency in Tableau/Alteryx and knowledge of Python or Java to automate metadata management processes, such as metadata validation and enrichmentDemonstrate understanding of Data Management activities such as business definition for data attributes, understand Business terms usage for reportin and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure completeness of Data ArtifactsIntermediate knowledge on MS office suiteABOUT USJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
