Job Description: Set up and operate centerless grinding machines according to production specifications and engineering drawings. Performing machine setup, including adjusting wheels,workrest blade& diamond dressers to optimise performance. Conduct routine maintenance and inspection of grinding machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs or adjustments promptly. Calibrate and adjust machine settings to meet required tolerances and surface finish specifications. Monitor grinding process parameters and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Collaborate with quality control to ensure parts meet dimensional and surface quality standards. Maintain detailed records of machine operation, maintenance activities, and production output. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist in training junior technicians and operators as needed. Adhering to safety procedures & wearing appropriate PPE. Qualifications: Engineering diploma or equivalent Proven experience operating and maintaining centerless grinding machines. Strong understanding of grinding principles, machine mechanics, and precision measurement tools. Ability to read engineering drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in using gauges, micrometers, dial indicators,air ring gauges,vernier calliper,height gauge and other inspection tools. problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills.
