This position is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of client-facing and internal applications primarily built using Python. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with backend development, a solid understanding of front-end technologies, and hands-on experience with deployment, environment configuration, testing, and debugging processes. You should be confident working across the full software development lifecycle and capable of mentoring other team members when needed. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain web, console applications, RESTful APIs using PythonParticipate in requirements gathering and contribute to technical design discussionsWrite clean, efficient, reusable, and scalable code using Python frameworks such as Django or FlaskRefactor and debug code to improve application performance and maintainabilityIdentify bottlenecks and bugs and implement effective solutionsWrite and Update unit testsDeploy applications in development, staging, and production environmentsCreate and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applicationsMentor and guide junior team members on best practices, domain knowledge, and technologyReview code to ensure quality, maintainability, performance, and compliance with requirementsStay up to date with client tech stacks and continuously explore new technologies relevant to the product or domainUse AI tools where applicable to improve the development life cycleMonitor production applications for consistency and performance The ideal candidate for the position should have the following skills and experience: Technical SkillsExperience with Python and frameworks like Django and/or FlaskExperience in designing and developing RESTful APIsExperience with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and operating system conceptsExperience with API testing tools such as Postman or JMeterUnderstanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and commonly used cloud services in application developmentFamiliarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like KubernetesFamiliarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular or ReactFamiliarity with Gen AI implementation, LLMs, and RAG systems Personal SkillsAbility to analyze problems and develop practical, scalable solutionsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate as part of a teamAbility to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and frameworksAbility to manage time effectively across multiple tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to maintain strong attention to detail in both coding and documentationAbility to demonstrate a professional attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire for continuous improvement Education and Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline is preferredMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Python-based development
