Design Manager - US Job DescriptionThe role of the Design Manager involves overseeing all aspects of design and creative output. The person responsible for this position will ensure that design and creative deliverables align with client expectations and are executed within stipulated time frames.Key Responsibilities:Planning of Layout, Conceptualizing Interior Fit-outs of Commercial & Residential Spaces within defined timelinesManaging a team of Interior Designers and 3D Visualizers to deliver drawings and designs as per client requirementsUnderstanding Client's requirement, Client Engagement & Handling of Project from start to end, Coordination with internal Procurement Team & Site Execution Team for Smooth Functioning of ProjectSelection of Material Finishes to be used/applied & Approval of same from Client Making of various schedules for a project like furniture, general & decorative light fixtures, carpets, etc. Coordination with Graphic Designers for Creation of Wallpaper Designs & other Graphic Design Elements as per Client's requirement & feedback Knowledge of Working Drawings/Technical Drawings & Co-ordination of same at site for execution Required Skills and Qualifications:4+ years in designing corporate & residential spaces. Knowledge about interior elements and building structureStrong Design senseWell versed with design codes followed in different states of USAStrong time management skills and ability to prioritise to meet daily, weekly, and long-term requirements and goalsTrack record of delivering outstanding high quality design, leading teams on high profile projects.Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong, persuasive communicator with excellent verbal presentation skills and ability to communicate design concepts to clients.Process oriented, ambitious out-of-the-box approach with ability to motivate team membersExcellent decision making and problem solving skillsComprehensive and extensive knowledge of materials, costing, GFC detailsUnderstanding of client engagementUnderstanding of technical drawingsMulti-tasking abilityExposure to:Drafting skills - Proficient in Autocad, Quantity Assessment - Proficient in MS Excel, Photoshop, Sketchup / 3DS-Max, Design conceptualization writing, Project pitch presentationsAdditional Requirements:Attention to detailTeam management
