Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines on AWS cloud.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and optimize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using AWS services like AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot AWS data storage solutions (S3, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB).
  • Build data integrations using AWS services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and Kinesis.
  • Work with relational and non-relational databases, and develop data models that cater to business needs.
  • Utilize AWS analytics services such as Athena, QuickSight, and EMR for data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate data pipeline deployment and CI/CD processes using AWS CodePipeline, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Ensure data security and governance by implementing best practices using AWS IAM, KMS, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Optimize and monitor performance for data storage and processing on the cloud.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Kinesis.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and managing ETL pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases like Redshift, RDS, or Aurora.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python and familiarity with PySpark for data processing.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture is a plus.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, etc., on AWS is an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in AWS environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, or AWS Certified Big Data/Database – Specialty.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with an analytical mindset.
  • High degree of ownership and accountability
