This entails making strategic decisions as much as technical ones, translating customer feedback into implemented features and experiments, and collaborating closely with the founder on customer interviews, product experimentation, and roadmaps.Daily tasks include designing and building APIs, data models, and integrations, setting up and hardening infrastructure on Amazon Web Services, reviewing work critically, and shaping the overall architecture as the business grows. It's essential to have 4-8+ years of experience building SaaS backends and APIs in production, worked on real-time systems, queues, or telephony (nice to have but not mandatory), and be pragmatic about testing, security, and operations.
