Job OverviewOur organization is seeking a highly skilled Medical Writer with a PhD to join our team. As a Medical Writer, you will be responsible for providing in-depth assessments of academic manuscripts, similar to journal peer reviews.Key Responsibilities:Leverage scientific expertise to write, proofread, and fact-check data under the guidance of subject matter leads.Develop high-quality, client-ready scientific, medical, and educational materials, including slides, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, MSL/training slide decks, infographics, congress and meeting materials, literature searches and reviews, standard response letters/medical information letters, and HCP engagement content.Requirements and QualificationsExperience as an invited peer reviewer for journals or as a journal editor is mandatory.Published academic papers as first author or corresponding author are also mandatory.Hold a PhD/MD in Clinical medicine or a related field.Benefits of the RoleMeticulous attention to detail is essential in this position.Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with subject matter leads.The ability to optimize academic and scientific texts according to standard scientific English conventions is crucial.Additional InformationThe successful candidate will have experience in formatting manuscripts according to journal-specific requirements.They will also have knowledge of internal style guides and individual journal criteria.Proficiency in specialized software for cross-verifying references and other metadata is required.
