Job Title : Head of Engineering

About the Company :

A product-based startup specializing in sports engagement applications, focused on delivering innovative solutions for end consumers in a B2C environment.
Location : Bangalore (6 days a week, with the option for 1 day WFH)

Key Responsibilities :
Lead the engineering team in designing and architecting solutions, focusing on scalability and performance.
Hands-on coding (60%) and active involvement in system design and architecture.
Collaborate with business leads to plan and execute the technical roadmap for the year.
Build and maintain the tech infrastructure for Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) applications, along with backend systems using Node.js (primary), C#, and PHP.
Drive technical innovation and ensure high-quality delivery.
Support the team in solving complex technical challenges while contributing to coding, mentoring, and guiding junior engineers.

Qualifications :

8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (Staff Engineer, Tech Lead, or similar).
Expertise in Node.js (primary), with experience in C# and PHP.
Proficiency in mobile development technologies, including Kotlin (Android) and Swift (iOS).
Strong understanding of design and architecture principles.
Experience in planning and executing a technical roadmap.
Previous experience in gaming or sports engagement domains is preferred.
Proven track record of working in fast-paced startup environments.

Interview Process :
Coding Round (4 rounds to evaluate hands-on expertise)
Final Round with Founders

Preferred Candidate Profile :

B2C domain experience with a strong focus on end-user engagement.
Gaming domain experience is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams while staying hands-on with coding and technical leadership.
