Sap Business Warehouse Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Technical Senior Lead Consultant to join our team in a support and enhancement role. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of relevant experience in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) and related technologies. You will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing SAP BW solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization. Your expertise in SAP BW will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our business intelligence systems.

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BW/4HANA Consultant with proven experience in end-to-end project implementations and a strong understanding of data warehousing and analytics. The ideal candidate will have international exposure, particularly working with Japanese clients or teams, and will be comfortable operating in multicultural environments. Japanese writing and speaking skills will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in full-cycle BW/4HANA implementations, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Design and develop data models, data flows, and reporting solutions using BW/4HANA and related SAP technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from SAP and non-SAP sources.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and client teams and adopt best practices of BW4HANA technology.
• Work closely with Japanese clients or stakeholders, ensuring cultural alignment and effective communication.
• Support post-go-live activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in SAP BW , with at least 2 years in BW/4HANA.
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA, ABAP, and native HANA modeling.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other BI tools is a plus.
• Proven track record of successful SAP BW/4HANA implementations as BW4HANA Consultant.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience working with Japanese companies or in Japan is a strong advantage.
• Japanese language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

System Support:

• Provide day-to-day support for SAP BW systems, ensuring data availability, system performance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working closely with end-users and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to prevent issues.

Enhancement and Optimization:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop, test, and implement enhancements and improvements to existing SAP BW solutions.
• Optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for improved performance.
• Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance system functionality.

LSA++ Data Modeling:

• Design and maintain data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Create and maintain SAP BW HANA Optimized objects and other data structures in SAP BW on HANA or B4HANA
• Apply dimension modeling and star schema techniques to support effective reporting.

Reporting and Analytics:

• Develop and maintain reporting solutions using tools like SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud, or other reporting tools.
• Create and enhance BI queries, reports, and dashboards to meet the business requirements.
• Collaborate with end-users to understand their reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.

Integration:

• Work on data integration between SAP BW and other systems such as SAP ERP, SAP S4, external databases, and third-party applications.
• Ensure data consistency and accuracy in data transfers.

Documentation and Training:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP BW configurations, processes, and enhancements.
• Provide training and guidance to end-users and colleagues on SAP BW functionalities.

Performance Monitoring:

• Continuously monitor system performance and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
• Implement performance tuning and optimization techniques to ensure a high-performing SAP BW environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business).
• 7 to 10 years of experience as an SAP BW Technical Consultant.
• Experience as SAP BW HANA/ B4HANA application consultant on implementation, Enhancement, and support and Upgrade projects
• Strong knowledge of SAP BW, including data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting.
• Proficiency in SAP BW tools and technologies (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud).
• Exposure to CDS view extractors, ODP extractors, SLT.
• Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA – Strong understanding of SAP HANA database concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• SAP BW certification is a plus but not required.
