JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Role: Team Lead - P&C ServicesJob Role ID:SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB ROLEJob Role Variant: Team Lead - P&C ServicesManager Job Position: Sr. Team Lead - P&C ServicesJob Position ID:Value Stream: Money, Materials & ComplianceJob Family: Procurement & ContractsSub-Job Family: Procurement & ContractsGrade/Level:Location:SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLETo manage contract finalisation & administration from receipt of Scope Of Work (SOW) to closure of contract and guide downstream team for process adherence and course correctionSECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLEResponsibilitiesPolicies, Processes and ProceduresAssist in formulation of functional plans and ensure day-to-day execution in line with function standards & regulationsImplement new initiatives/ projects as per established policies to meet future requirements of various O&M contractsProvide inputs for improvements in business processes, specifications and best practicesContract Awarding & ManagementManage the operations & maintenance contracts, including reviewing Scope Of Work (SOW)Decide upon the type and kind of contract and managing changes as neededReview the RFQ documents prepared by downstream teamFinalize Division Of Responsibility (DOR) in consultation with construction teamReview internal cost estimates prepared by downstream team based upon prevailing rates and negotiate with potential contractorsJointly prepare the approval note and submit to Sr. Team Lead, resolve queries and thereafter award contractsParticipate in kick-off meetings with contractors post award of contractMonitor effective management of contracts, review contractor work progress in consultation with stakeholders for respective sitesReview contractor claims and settlement, issue notices/letters in consultation with stakeholders and handle change managementVendor DevelopmentDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and provide ongoing support in resolving disputes as neededConduct initial screening for vendors to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, such as environmental regulations and RIL requirements to enhance the vendor poolAssist in aligning vendors to various internal laid procedures and compliance requirementsMonitor and analyse vendor performance data, including cost, schedule, and quality metrics, to identify areas for improvement and to drive continuous improvementCoordinate with internal stakeholders as operations, engineering, and finance teams for timely resolution of conflictsPeople ManagementParticipate in recruitment activities & ensure retention / engagement of own teamSet performance objectives of own team, evaluate / appraise team members and provide regular feedback & guidanceGuide, mentor and develop own team to take larger and complex responsibilitiesEvaluate training and development requirements for own team and make recommendations for learning interventionsSECTION IV: SUCCESS METRICSContract finalization within agreed period% contracting resource saturation – in line with agreements and site requirements100% process compliance100% audit complianceImprovements proposed%Cost savingsSECTION V: OPERATING NETWORKInternal: Projects Team, Construction team, Operations team, Engineering team, Finance team, etc.External: ContractorsSECTION VI: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIESEducation QualificationsA bachelor's degree in Engineering or a master's degree in Management of Business Administration (MBA) (preferred)Experience8-12 years of experience in procurement, supplier negotiation and contracts preferably in oil/ petrochemicals major or process industriesFunctional / Behavioral competencies required to execute the roleFUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIESSECTION VII: CAREER MOVEMENTSFeeder Roles: Sr. BuyerPossible Next Role Movement: Sr. Team Lead
