Job Description: Inside Sales Coordinator – Post Extrusion PVC Pipe Downstream Machinery


Position Overview:

The Inside Sales Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating sales activities for post-extrusion PVC pipe downstream machinery. This role requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to build relationships with customers while supporting the external sales team. The position ensures smooth communication between clients, production, and logistics to enhance customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to post-extrusion PVC pipe machinery.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and purchase orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the external sales team to identify customer needs and provide suitable product solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.


Customer Relationship Management:

  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.


Order Management:

  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery of machinery.
  • Track orders from receipt to dispatch and keep customers informed of their order status.
  • Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements for domestic and international shipments.


Market Research & Reporting:

  • Gather market intelligence on competitor products and customer preferences.
  • Provide regular reports to the sales manager, including sales forecasts, customer feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in preparing marketing materials and presentations for trade shows or client meetings.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.


  • Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in inside sales, preferably in machinery, industrial equipment, or the plastics industry.


  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with post-extrusion PVC pipe machinery or similar industrial equipment is preferred.


  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proficiency in using SAP Business One ERP is preferred.


  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.


  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under deadlines.


Work Environment:

  • Office-based role with occasional travel for client visits or industry trade shows.


  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and logistics.


Performance Metrics:

  • Timeliness of quotations and responses to customer inquiries.


  • Effective and efficient co-ordination between customer and operations team to ensure smooth and timely order execution.


  • Customer satisfaction.
