Job DescriptionPolestar is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to fill this critical role.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports, as well as experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. They should also have in-depth knowledge of data modeling strategies used for creating data models in Power BI, as well as the ability to analyze and optimize report performance, refresh times, and dataset efficiency.The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements. They will also be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring the final product aligns with business objectives.In addition, they will need to stay up-to-date on the latest Power BI features and best practices, suggest and implement improvements to existing reports and processes based on feedback and evolving business needs.Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI based on business requirements.Ensure visualizations are user-friendly and provide actionable insights for stakeholders.Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, other cloud-based data sources) and perform necessary data transformations using Power Query Editor.Model data in Power BI as per best practices.Optimize Power BI reports and data models for better performance, including managing data refresh and query optimization.Troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues in reports.Work with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements.Translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure the final product aligns with business objectives.
