Bridge Engineer RoleThe role of a Bridge Engineer involves assessing bridges, preparing detailed reports and designing new bridge structures to meet UK standards. Key responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, performing strengthening and repair work, carrying out design checks and documenting progress.To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will have experience in Steel Composite and Posttension structures, as well as proficiency in computer-aided design software such as MIDAS and LUSAS. A proactive team player with a self-motivated learning attitude is required to adapt to the changing requirements of the job.The selected candidate will work closely with other engineers to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company procedures. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and updating documentation as necessary.In this challenging role, the Bridge Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from conceptual design to construction completion.
