Game Testing Specialist

Quality Verification team is on the hunt for experienced professional who can support the planning, design and execution of quality verification for various game titles. The Quality Analyst is a software quality expert that applies white box testing and identify bugs as early as possible in the development cycle. As a Quality Analyst, you’ll be working to test and analyze the game product. You’ll define and execute on the test strategy for the QA group. Your daily challenge will be to focus on defect prevention – that is, upstream testing and analysis to thwart the introduction of bugs into the game code – designing test strategies, capturing qualitative assessments and usability feedback, and ensuring the highest caliber of quality for our game titles.
Responsibilities:
• Takes ownership of few specific area(s) of the game, providing feedback to feature and content
designers as needed. Analyzes design issues and gathers applicable information from the
development team.
• Works with Game Team engineers, Artists and Production team to validate that features have
reached the quality levels targeted by Production.
• Executes test cases/suites for features and evaluates actual vs. expected results.
• Evaluate and interpret data to extrapolate risks and opportunities, relaying them to the team and
management in a timely manner.
• Prepare visualization of data using reports and dashboards that help your team identify key areas
of opportunity and insight to drive future design and decision-making.
• Perform quality assurance on generated and final results to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the timeline impact of bug counts, bug fix rates, test case
completion speed, time to complete a play through, etc.
• Able to solve low to mid-level issues with the development team.
• Uses basic problem-solving techniques. Works collaboratively with other Analysts for solving
problems.
Skills and Experience:
• Experience in Quality Assurance
• Experience with various bug tracking tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for games
