What are we looking for?

  • Good Understanding of ITIL practices & other standard IT practices/procedures
  • Hands-on experience on DB2 LUW environment, architecture, configuring, troubleshooting user issues, handling DB backup/archive failures, modifying DB parameters, restore databases and provide technical resolution.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of the DB2 database environment.
  • Collect, analyze, and document information about the current DB2 environment.
  • Monitoring database performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses. · Controlling access permissions and privileges to the database.
  • Performing capacity planning, DB patching and DB backup/restore at regular intervals.
  • Good knowledge on DB auditing and security
  • Automating recurring DB tasks and come up with new ideas for service improvement.
  • Review customer policies and procedures to ensure that they are in line with DB2 standard methodologies.
  • Installing and configuring DB2 databases and software by setting up and maintaining new DB2 environment.
  • Own trouble tickets and work them to resolution, engage vender and drive till issue resolution without breaching SLA.
  • Familiar with Data protection and data encryption.
  • Familiar in DB upgrades and stay current with the latest DB2 features and best practices.
  • Good knowledge on HADR/manual concepts and troubleshooting failures.
