GIS Infrastructure SpecialistThis is a 100% remote part-time role requiring 20 hours of work per week.Developing the GIS Architecture: Plan scalability and ensure the system meets future demands of the organization. Ensure the system is scalable to meet growing needs.System Integration: Integrate with other business systems, including databases, ERP systems, and web services. Ensure seamless integration for optimal performance.Security Design: Implement security protocols to protect GIS data and services, aligning with organizational IT security standards. Protect data from unauthorized access.Installation and Configuration: Install ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and related components, configuring them to meet organizational needs. Install necessary software to support GIS operations.Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly update software to the latest versions and patches, manage system backups, and disaster recovery plans. Maintain systems to prevent downtime.Performance Monitoring: Monitor server performance, undertaking tuning and troubleshooting to optimize the system. Analyze system performance to improve efficiency.Collaboration with IT Operations: Work closely with the IT Operations team to define all GIS network traffic requirements while maintaining InfoSec policy controls.
