Construction Accounting ManagerThis is a pivotal role for an experienced Construction Accountant to oversee and manage the financial accounting functions of our organization.Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Coordinate and facilitate the construction draw process to ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds for construction activities.Manage the yearly audit and tax compliance process to ensure all information is complete, accurate, and available for tax preparers and auditors.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.Ensure control over actual expenses vs budget and participate in cash management position and forecasting.Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.Oversee the use of property and accounting software to optimize financial operations.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.Continuously assess accounting operations to offer recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes, policies, and procedures.Requirements:CA/CPA certification with 8-10 years of experience in the real estate/construction industry.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Must have excellent work ethic, high integrity, and excellent follow-up skills.Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision making.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.Demonstrated leadership and management skills.Superior ability to track and meet deadlines, focused on overcoming obstacles.High level of computer skills, including extensive experience with Yardi or similar real estate accounting systems.Ability to take initiative and manage teams effectively.
