This role requires strong technical expertise in textiles along with leadership, decision-making, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the textile/fabric development function end-to-end. Oversee coordination between design, sourcing, production, and vendors.Manage vendor performance, timelines, sampling, and quality expectations.Guide junior team members in fabric selection, testing, and processes.Develop and conceptualize textile ideas aligned with KSHM’s brand aesthetics.Research and introduce new fabrics, textures, prints, and trends.Ensure selection of fabrics based on performance, composition, durability, and feel. Conduct fabric testing — shrinkage, colorfastness, wrinkle resistance, durability.Identify and resolve fabric defects.Ensure adherence to brand, quality, and sustainability standards.Work with suppliers, mills, and manufacturers for sourcing and approvalsNegotiate fabric costs, timelines, and quality parameters.Key Skills & Competencies: Expertise in fabric composition, behavior, and performance. Strong project management and decision-making abilities.Vendor management and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented, problem-solving approach.Creative mindset with fashion understanding.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Technology, or related fields.4–5 years of textile development, sourcing, or quality experience.Strong understanding of woven, knitted, and blended fabrics.Knowledge of manufacturing, finishing, and testing processes.Preferably from NIFT, Pearl Academy, or similar institutes.Why Join Us: Be part of a fast-growing fashion and activewear brand. Lead fabric innovation with industry experts.Opportunity for professional and creative growth.
