API Engineering LeadWe are seeking an experienced API lead to spearhead the design, implementation and operation of our Enterprise AI API platform.Design and build scalable APIs using leading-edge technologies such as IBM API Connect, DataPower gateways or equivalent platforms.Define robust API governance policies including authentication/authorization (OAuth2, API-key, JWT), rate limits, quotas, versioning and lifecycle management.Manage the API gateway: routing, transformation, orchestration, protocol mediation (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), traffic control and high-availability.Set up and maintain a developer-friendly portal: publishing APIs, onboarding internal/external consumers, documentation, self-service subscription and support.Monitor API usage, performance, latency and error metrics; analyze usage patterns and production issues for improvement.Ensure API security and resilience through secure back-end integrations, payload validation, threat mitigation and high-availability.Stay current with emerging protocols (GraphQL, WebSockets) and evolving tool capabilities.Key Skills:Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable APIs.Excellent understanding of API management technologies and tools.Strong leadership and collaboration skills.Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.Benefits:Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects.Collaborative and dynamic work environment.Professional growth and development opportunities.
